Week 10: Beets

Welcome to the Penultimate Week of this Blog. Yes, Unfortunately this Week is the Second to last Week of the Blog. Although this Week we have the Ingredient of Beets!



Fun Facts about Beets:

1. The Biggest Beet in the World was grown in Holland and weighed over 70Kg.

2. Beet Juice is also commonly used as a Red Dye, although it is not long-lasting!

3. Beet Juice has been used to remove Ice from the Streets as it creates minimal damage.

4. In Utah, U.S.A the Beet is named as one of the historic foods of the State itself.

5. Beets are often called "nature's candy" due to it's health advantages and sweetness in flavour.

6. Pickled Beets are also very popular in Australia, where it is a common Hamburger topping.



Nutritional Facts of Beets:
Beets are very high in the Mineral of Manganese, Potassium and Copper. Whereas the Dominant Vitamins in Beets are the Vitamins C and B6. Beets also support detoxification, so if you want to stay Healthy, eat more Beets!
